Purpose of WBHA

The World Barrel Horse Association - WBHA, born of the need of a single global regulation for the practice of the Barrel Race, the institution aims to globally promote the form of sustainable and organized manner, establishing a uniform regulation, preserving the welfare of the animal and competitor; and promote transparency and ethical conduct in dealing with the equestrian sports that is made through committees that include the participation of veterinarians and representatives of the organizers of the events. United States, Brazil and Canada were the source that guided the creation of the regulation, which aims to regulate the vision of the institution, regulating transparency, clean sport and animal welfare. Having already been drafted and approved by all the countries involved, the WBHA will now govern the conduct of competitors, coaches, owners and enclosures where happen the events, therefore, the standard will be followed by all and applied in world championships and other International events.
